Ever on the quest for a better environment, we’ve been working on a new room for mixing here at Gator-Studios.com. Things are taking great shape! The new room has been dubbed by my kids as “Studio 3″ because it’s on the 3rd floor, and I think it’s stuck…so Studio 3 it is!
Part of the plan was to have more room for live work, and I’m looking forward to plenty of that. Another theory about bigger rooms says the frequency response should be a lot better, and so far I’m hearing it. There’s still more work to do, get the acoustic treatment hung, get everything put away but it’s coming together. I took some frequency response measurements in the old room before I left, and I’m anxious to see what the numbers say on the new room.
