Being on the internet can be likened to a “needle in a haystack” sometimes, and yet the spambots never seem to rest! I’ve had to tighten up the moderating a bit, those buggers are back. One day some smart dude will come up with a spambot revenge…I don’t know what it will do but it will send the spammers scurrying. It’s one thing to pay for something that protects “from” spam, but I’d gladly pay for something that sticks it “to” spammers lol
It’s been a busy time around here, though honestly not much new music has come out of the studio lately. We have some other initiatives under way that I can’t make public, but it’s all good! Soon our attention will also turn to the studio expansion, giving us more flexibility to do live tracking in addition to just engineering!
I’ve treaded carefully when it comes to doing live bands etc., mainly because I don’t want to open things up to just anyone who scrounges up some cash and decides they want to be a rock star. Too many times I’ve seen people think that means coming in and tearing up the place, and frankly I don’t want that headache. I’m into this gig because I like to make a difference for people who are working hard at the music craft, helping them along to get further than they can on their own. And I’ve had a few inquiries where I think Iwe can make an impact…so we’ll see how things go!
The economy seems to have every one down, including this old Gator sometimes. I’ve been so tied up that I have been slack on the books, so I spent today catching up. I’m pleasantly surprised that we’re actually getting along just a bit better than last year so far! Granted we have more in the store to choose from than last year, and it’s been interesting to watch our customers shifting more outside the US, but we’re still kicking along just fine. It will be good to get some more things in shape and be raring to go when all this mess finally shakes out and the world starts having fun again…we’ll be ready to go for you!
